Sev7eEn7/dsh-sieve
Sieve is a context-engineering and token-efficiency plugin for DeepSeek Harness: it filters tool output, prunes stale context and progressively discloses skills so the main model re-reads a shorter context on every step. A judgment kernel on DSH's public extension points hands keep-or-rewrite decisions to a dedicated judge model (Jev or Laya) that answers structured yes/no and single-choice questions with probabilities; originals are archived before any rewrite and retrievable on demand.
sieve is a context-engineering and token-efficiency plugin for DeepSeek Harness. In an agent loop the main model rereads its whole context at every step, and what makes requests large is rarely the user's input — it is verbose tool output, stale context a later read superseded, and skill catalogs injected wholesale at session start. Sieve adds a judgment kernel on DSH's public extension points that admits, forgets and progressively discloses those three kinds of content, handing keep-or-rewrite decisions to a dedicated judge model that answers structured yes/no and single-choice questions with probabilities; the kernel then rewrites or keeps the original by threshold. Originals are archived before any rewrite and can be retrieved on demand. Measured in offline replay, sieve cut request payload by 36.28% across 100 public agent trajectories; across 80 paired live runs on deepseek-flash it lowered main-model input token usage by 21.2% with cache-hit rate moving from 93.4% to 92.9% (that run used a since-removed judge path, per the README).
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-sieve@0.2.0 dsh-sieve-web@0.2.0Copied verbatim from the README's install block (the npm form); the same block documents a headless install dsh plugin --profile headless add dsh-sieve@0.2.0. Sieve ships as two packages — dsh-sieve (host) and dsh-sieve-web (web UI) — published together under the same owner.
Compatibility
Requires a judge model configured: Jev (hosted, needs an API key) or Laya (local, macOS on Apple Silicon). With neither configured the plugin loads but changes no context, and it never substitutes the session model for the judge.
