The DSH Plugin Ecosystem: September 2026 Data Report
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) launched its public plugin API in August 2026 and the ecosystem grew fast: 2,961 English-visible plugins are now catalogued in this directory, spanning 27 categories from agent memory to desktop launchers. This report is generated live from the dshpacks database — every number you read here is recomputed when the site rebuilds.
By the numbers
| Plugins in database (total) | 2,964 |
| English-visible | 2,961 (99.9%) |
| Non-English / hidden | 3 |
| Categories | 27 |
| Fully enriched pages (README-grounded) | 1,651 (56%) |
| Plugins with a verified install command | 1,583 (53%) |
| Median stars | 2 |
What “enriched” means
An enriched page on dshpacks goes beyond the radar’s one-line description.
Each one is grounded in the plugin’s own README: it carries a hand-verified install command
pulled from the actual documentation, a what-it-does prose section, compatibility notes, and a FAQ
drawn from the repository. The install command is the most load-bearing fact on the page —
we mark any that cannot be independently verified as [verify manually] rather than
fabricate one. Out of 2,961 English-visible plugins, 1,583 now have a README-verified
install command on their page.
Category breakdown
The 27 categories in this directory are mapped from the DeepSeek Harness radar’s own curation labels. The top 12 by plugin count:
Every category page links back to this directory and carries a
CollectionPage + ItemList structured-data block so search engines
can parse the plugin roster directly. Browse them from the
dshpacks homepage category chips.
Stars and community size
GitHub stars are a noisy but real signal of community adoption. The distribution is extremely skewed — a handful of flagship projects capture most stars, while the long tail is where new plugins land:
- 757 plugins (0★) — newly listed or not yet widely discovered
- 1,522 plugins (1–5★) — small but active audiences
- 433 plugins (6–20★) — established, used by real teams
- 249 plugins (>20★) — the ecosystem’s proven tier
The median is 2★, which reflects the realistic picture: most DSH plugins are solo-developer projects built for a specific workflow, not shrink-wrapped software. That is normal for a young ecosystem — the plugin surface area is already enormous; depth comes later.

Runtime-test verdicts
The radar runs automated tests against each plugin. The verdict distribution for English-visible plugins:
| Verdict | Count |
|---|---|
| pass | 1,078 |
| unreviewed | 984 |
| incompatible | 477 |
| untested | 220 |
| pending | 202 |
A pass verdict means the plugin’s runtime test completed successfully; incompatible means it was tested and failed; untested and pending mean the test queue has not reached this plugin yet. The “unreviewed” bucket holds plugins carried from earlier import passes before the runtime-test pipeline was established. Every enriched page on dshpacks shows the verdict badge so you can see the status before you install.
How the directory is built
dshpacks ingests the DSH radar daily, cross-checks install commands against upstream READMEs, translates CJK-only descriptions, and rebuilds every page from scratch. The build includes a suite of automated validators — canonical uniqueness, structured-data schema assertions, meta-description budget, internal-link integrity, sitemap coverage — all running before a single file is deployed. If any validator fails, the deployment is aborted and the previous version stays live.
The enrichment layer is the hand-intensive part. Each of the 1,651 enriched pages
required reading the plugin’s README, extracting a verifiable install command, and writing
the what-it-does prose without inventing anything the README does not say. Where the README
is placeholder-only we carry a [verify manually] flag rather than guess. Quality
is the hard part; this report is how we stay honest about where coverage stands.
