Tavily-backed web search provider for the built-in web_search tool, with a settings card for the API key, result count, and recency window.

dsh-plugin-tavily is the professional/pro-user Tavily edition for DSH: it registers a tavily search provider into the ctx.web seam so the built-in web_search tool searches through Tavily, and auto-selects it as the active provider on install (no yaml edits). The web GUI card exposes the full professional parameter set — API key, API Base URL, maxResults, searchDepth (basic/advanced/fast/ultra-fast), topic, includeAnswer, includeRawContent, timeout, days, chunksPerSource, timeRange, startDate/endDate, includeImages, includeDomains/excludeDomains, country — plus one-click parameter presets (Deep research / Quick summary / Live news), a GUI Tavily↔DeepSeek engine switch, a server-side connectivity probe for stored keys (POST /api/tavily-probe), and a live status badge from Tavily GET /usage.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add "github:1624318455/dsh-plugin-tavily#main"

README EN primary (English | 中文; 2026-09-02, repo 1624318455/dsh-plugin-tavily): dsh plugin --profile web add "github:1624318455/dsh-plugin-tavily#main" (dev: file: path). Restart dsh after install. cordis.patch.yml auto-sets web.config.searchProvider=tavily so Tavily is elected automatically — no manual yaml or DSH_WEB_SEARCH_PROVIDER edits. Paste a Tavily key in the web GUI card; the card is only visible when the plugin's settings namespace is on the apiproxy allowlist (as of 0.1.0-rc.6 it is hardcoded) — the provider works without the card; scripts/patch-apiproxy.mjs patches every installed profile copy (overwritten by pnpm install --force / harness upgrades).

Compatibility

DSH web profile; ctx.web web-search seam; Tavily API key optional in keyless mode; TAVILY_API_KEY also settable via env.

FAQ

Does installing it change my search provider?
Yes — the bundle's cordis.patch.yml sets web.searchProvider=tavily, so Tavily answers web_search automatically; a GUI switch can fall back to the official DeepSeek provider.
Where does the API key go?
Paste it in the web GUI settings card (server-side probe POST /api/tavily-probe tests stored keys; browsers never read stored secrets).
Why is the settings card missing?
As of DSH 0.1.0-rc.6 the GUI namespace allowlist is hardcoded; run scripts/patch-apiproxy.mjs (re-apply after pnpm install --force / harness upgrades). The provider works without the card.
