DeepSeek Harness plugin that reuses the local Codex CLI ChatGPT login and adds a native GPT Auth settings card
dsh-codex-auth is a self-contained Codex Capability Bundle for DeepSeek Harness that reuses the Codex CLI's ChatGPT login for the openai-codex LLM route, a global Codex Search Provider behind DSH's stock web_search tool, durable image generation/editing through generate_image plus a model-facing list_images catalog, resilient weekly Codex usage status (fixed /backend-api/wham/usage probe with a ten-second Host deadline), and one native GPT Auth Settings section with Login, LLM Context, Web Search, and Image Creation cards. It includes a live, default-off 1M context switch that reports gpt-5.6-luna/sol/terra at 1,000,000 tokens instead of the conservative 272,000-token default for token-pressure and compaction decisions. Search posts to chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/alpha/search with deduplicated valid HTTP(S) source records — no fabricated titles, dates, snippets, or follow-up fetches. No token value is sent over the loopback-only /codex-auth Connection RPC channel.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-codex-authThe npm package includes prebuilt Host and browser bundles, so no install-time build permission is required — dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-codex-auth, restart dsh web, open Settings, and select GPT Auth. Alternatives: prebuilt release tarball (dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/suntianc/dsh-codex-auth/releases/download/v0.2.2/dsh-codex-auth-0.2.2.tgz), GitHub source (dsh plugin --profile web add github:suntianc/dsh-codex-auth — pnpm 10+ blocks the prepare script until allowBuilds is granted), or a local tarball from pnpm pack. Upgrade with dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-codex-auth@0.3.0.
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness Web. Reuses the ChatGPT login maintained by the official Codex CLI (~/.codex/auth.json or $CODEX_HOME/auth.json). Registers three independent Host rows: llm-codex-auth (openai-codex LLM route), codex-search (global Search Provider behind DSH's stock web_search tool), and codex-image (agent-scoped image tools). Unofficial channel — personal development only; the private account-gated chatgpt.com/backend-api surface is unsupported, revocable, and may be rate-limited or changed without notice.

FAQ
- Is this an official channel?
- No — the README warns it is an unofficial channel for personal development only; the private account-gated chatgpt.com/backend-api surface is unsupported, revocable, and may be rate-limited or changed without notice.
- Which Codex credentials does it use?
- The ChatGPT login maintained by the official Codex CLI at ~/.codex/auth.json (or $CODEX_HOME/auth.json); it starts the official codex login browser or device-code flow when needed.
- Does it need a build permission on npm install?
- No — the npm package ships prebuilt Host and browser bundles; the GitHub-source install does need an allowBuilds grant because pnpm 10+ blocks the prepare script.
