fwerkor/local-shell-mcp
MCP control plane for shell, files, browser automation and remote machines, with a DeepSeek Harness bridge exposing the full tool surface.
local-shell-mcp is an MCP control plane that gives clients controlled access to a real execution environment: shell and persistent shell, filesystem and patch/search tools, browser automation, public file links, audit logging and outbound remote-worker access. Its DeepSeek Harness bridge exposes the complete LSM tool surface — including remote workers, browser tools and Dynamic MCP tools — as a DSH bundle, so each DSH session gets a stable logical-session identity with its own Activity and Live Workspace view isolated from other conversations. The intended safety boundary is the container or VM, not the host, with workspace scoping, timeouts, output limits, environment filtering and secret scanning.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add local-shell-mcp-dshCopied verbatim from the README's DeepSeek Harness section, which installs the separately published DSH bridge local-shell-mcp-dsh into a profile. The README states a normal LSM HTTP/MCP service must be running on the same host; the bundle is an LSM-aware Streamable HTTP bridge and keeps the full tool surface.
Compatibility
The host runtime is Python 3.11+ (or Docker / VS Code extension / binary); the DSH bridge package follows the same release version as LSM. Tools appear under the mcplsm* namespace. The README documents the DSH integration at fwerkor.github.io/local-shell-mcp/clients/deepseek-harness/.

FAQ
- Does the DSH bridge include the whole tool surface?
- Yes. The README says the bundle keeps the complete LSM tool surface, including remote_manage, remote_transfer, browser tools and Dynamic MCP tools, surfaced to DSH under the mcplsm* namespace.
- Is the DSH plugin the same thing as the LSM server?
- No. local-shell-mcp-dsh is a separate bridge package installed into a DSH profile; it expects a normal LSM HTTP/MCP service already running on the same host as the control plane it bridges to.
