dsh-science is a Claude Science-style research workbench for DeepSeek Harness aimed at genomics, pathogens, human health, and bioinformatics projects. It provides a ReAct research loop (research_init → research_report persisted in a research-manifest.json state machine), versioned artifacts with per-file SHA-256 and append-only provenance, an SSH/SLURM remote compute engine that survives connection loss, and a model-tier router that keeps cheap models on auxiliary work and escalates complex tasks to stronger providers.

- No — local work and remote hosts both work; remote hosts connect via ~/.ssh/config aliases with nothing installed on the host.

- Every artifact version is saved with per-file SHA-256 plus artifact.json provenance (command, inputs, environment, envFile) and an append-only provenance.md.
- What is the model-tier router?
- A companion bundle that routes auxiliary requests and subagent tasks to a light tier, keeps the main conversation on the default tier, and escalates deep work to a strong tier, optionally on different providers.
