dsh-macos-skin turns macOS's built-in dynamic wallpapers into a fullscreen animated background for the DeepSeek Harness Web UI. It reuses the aerials screensaver .mov clips already on your system (no re-download), and on macOS the settings panel automatically scans ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/ and lists every wallpaper with thumbnails so you can click one to play; a local .mov can also be authorized through the file picker or drag & drop, and the video never leaves the machine. The video sits at the bottom layer with the chat and panels floating translucent above it via a glass recipe that overrides the DSH background alias tokens (separate light and dark recipes). The panel is grouped into Appearance / Video / Rotation sections and offers five one-tap glass presets, six accent colours, adjustable frosted blur, panel opacity and a dim overlay, playback speed, video fit (cover/contain), zoom and vertical position, a bottom fade, auto-rotate on an interval, and a one-tap exit skin that restores the native interface. The choice and preferences persist in localStorage + IndexedDB, and video decoding pauses while the tab is hidden.

Compatibility
Targets the DeepSeek Harness Web UI and is built around macOS's aerials screensaver .mov files (HEVC / Main 10 / 4K hvc1); playback depends on the browser - Safari has native HEVC support, while Chrome/Edge usually decode via system hardware but not on every version/platform and show a panel hint when they cannot. Browsers: Chrome/Edge full (persisted grants + playback), Safari basic playback without persisted grants. Dynamic/night-mode HEIC is not yet supported. A fresh install plays the first system wallpaper automatically. English README with a Simplified Chinese translation.
