Open Sea Skin is an open-source ocean theme for DeepSeek Harness: a real-time WebGPU animated background with adjustable waves, daylight-to-sunset lighting (including a twelve-minute day/night cycle) and a translucent glass interface tunable from 40% to 90% opacity in light or dark layouts, with local assets and no runtime CDN requests.
Open Sea Skin is an open-source ocean theme and appearance plugin for DeepSeek Harness. It renders a real-time WebGPU ocean — animated waves and reflections rather than a looping wallpaper video — with adjustable wave size, daylight-to-sunset lighting (or an automatic twelve-minute day/night cycle) and a translucent glass interface adjustable from 40% to 90% opacity in both light and dark Harness layouts. Quick controls for sea state, sunlight and opacity live in a lower-left skin settings panel. Ocean scripts, three.js and fonts ship with the skin (no skin analytics or runtime CDN requests), the extension does not replace new tabs or your homepage, and the UI supports Chinese/English labels, keyboard navigation, Escape to close and reduced-motion.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add open-sea-skin@1.2.3Copied verbatim from the README's '1. DSH plugin' block. The README (release status checked October 10, 2026) warns that GitHub v1.2.5 already includes the official Desktop glass fix but npm is still 1.2.3, so do not use open-sea-skin@1.2.5 until it appears on npm; it also shows an immutable-tag form dsh plugin --profile web add 'github:d-dev0101/open-sea-skin#v1.2.5'.
Compatibility
A community-made DeepSeek Harness appearance plugin (not an official DeepSeek product, and unrelated to the OpenSea NFT marketplace). After installing, restart Harness, reload the page and open 'Skin settings' at the lower left. The official DeepSeek Harness Desktop 0.2.x uses a separate desktop profile. Also installable as a Harness-only Chrome/Edge extension or a static frontend integration, but the README advises choosing one install method.
