pureexe/dsh-windows-remote-ssh
Control a remote Windows desktop over plain SSH from DSH — screenshots, UI Automation reads, click/type/scroll/key and app listing/launch — with the same tool surface and safety model as the local dsh-click plugin and no pre-installed agent on the target.
dsh-windows-remote-ssh controls a remote Windows desktop over SSH from DeepSeek Harness with the same tool surface and safety model as the local dsh-click plugin — screenshots, UI Automation reads, click/type/scroll/key, and app listing/launch — but every action runs on a Windows box reached over plain SSH. Requests and responses move as small JSON files over SFTP rather than through the SSH exec channel's stdin/stdout, sidestepping Windows console code-page and encoding pitfalls, and the helper runs in the user's real interactive desktop session via a one-shot Scheduled Task (launched through a hidden-window VBScript wrapper) because Win32-OpenSSH's non-interactive Session 0 session cannot enumerate windows or capture the screen. It never steals the user's mouse/keyboard focus by default — actions prefer UI Automation patterns, then posted window messages, with foreground and real SendInput delivery available only as explicit config-gated opt-ins (focusFallback: 'allow' and allowHardwareInput: true, both default off).
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add "github:pureexe/dsh-windows-remote-ssh#main"Copied verbatim from the README's install line (a github: spec pinned to the main branch). The harness can run on Linux, macOS or Windows; only the target needs to be Windows.
Compatibility
The target account must be a local administrator and must already be logged on interactively (an unlocked console/RDP session) when a tool call runs — the helper is scheduled as a one-shot Scheduled Task bound to the connected user with the 'only when logged on' flag, so it attaches to that existing session rather than creating one. The helper uses only classes already in stock Windows (.NET System.Windows.Automation, System.Drawing, and user32.dll/kernel32.dll P/Invoke) — no Python, no third-party modules, no separate installer.
Details
- Repo: pureexe/dsh-windows-remote-ssh
- Category: Agent Capabilities
- Stars: 0
- Version: GitHub repo pureexe/dsh-windows-remote-ssh (install is a github: spec to the repo itself). The helper is a single shipped PowerShell script staged onto the target over SFTP; the only thing assumed on the remote host is a working SSH server (Win32-OpenSSH, built into modern Windows).
