Light mode is clean and restrained with near-white surfaces, neutral borders and hover, brand blue #12B7F5 and light-blue #A8E3FF bubbles as recognition accents, while dark mode is a calm #101822 blue-gray where blue only accents. Five palette variants ship (Classic Blue, Vivid Purple, Clean White, Green Bubble, Deep Black) sharing a neutral blue-gray skeleton and differing only in personality tokens. The layout layer centres and narrows the chat flow, gives user bubbles a light-blue fill and a small triangular tail, adds a penguin avatar disc plus white card to assistant rows, turns the input area into a capsule, and adds a conversation-header divider, QQ-styled timestamps and scrollbar, and sidebar session-row hover/selected states. A QQ Skin settings row in App settings General offers visual toggles for palette, bubble tail, assistant avatar and chat width that persist to the user-settings document.

Compatibility
A DeepSeek Harness Web UI skin built as two reversible layers; it never registers a new theme id and never touches the user's Light/Dark/System preference. The token layer stacks one --dsw-* semantic-token override via ctx.theme.overrideTokens('dsh-qq-skin', ...) where every token carries a { light, dark } pair, and the layout layer injects one global <style> tag gated by body[data-ds-dark-theme]. On unload both layers are removed through effect cleanup, and settings or config changes hot-reapply without restarting.
