Deepseek-Harness Vscode Integration
A VS Code integration for DeepSeek Harness that connects the editor to a running runtime. It can adopt an existing runtime (dsh.serverUrl plus dsh.serverToken) or discover and start one, and it keeps the editor-side history in the V3 format with opt-in Assistant streams. The extension handles runtime discovery, lock migration and upgrade flows, preserves existing package-manager argument overrides, strips package prefixes when auto mode selects a local CLI, and routes startup through shared Runtime discovery and lock migration so fallback cannot bypass an occupied lock. Message feedback preserves categories for both ratings (including edits and conflict responses), a Runtime supplying master's optional modeSelectionEnabled policy makes disabling it hide the IDE mode choices and restore blank sessions to the effective default, and Skill completion tooltips show SKILL.md paths when supplied.
Install
Download the VSIX from https://github.com/HarcoChen/dsh-vsc-integration/releases and use VS Code: Install from VSIXREADME install path: from GitHub Releases, download the .vsix and run Extensions: Install from VSIX.... Verified live 2026-09-13: release v0.6.2 publishes dsh-vsc-integration-0.6.2.vsix. The README splits pre-release/stable channels — pre-release builds go to Open VSX flagged as pre-release and to GitHub Releases, they never reach the VS Code Marketplace (which does not accept SemVer pre-release numbers), and from 0.8.0 stable releases use even minor versions (0.8.x) with pre-releases on the next odd minor (0.9.x) so a stable release never supersedes a newer pre-release. The extension accepts valid SemVer versions at or above dsh 0.1.5-rc.1; RC.1 remains the default download and upgrade target.
Compatibility
Requires a DSH runtime at or above SemVer 0.1.5-rc.1 (newer prereleases and stable versions accepted). The default dsh.command: "auto" probes dsh --version on PATH then in the npm global prefix, uses a compatible local CLI directly, and offers an approval prompt to upgrade a verified older npm global install before any plugin download; declining falls back to pinned pnpm, then npx, then the managed CNB Runtime. The README notes the CNB standalone Runtime mirror returned 404 for 0.1.5-rc.2 at the adaptation check, so a standalone download is not currently verified.
