omdsh-dev/dsh-open-in-vscode
Open DeepSeek Harness workspace directories in VS Code directly from the web GUI.
dsh-open-in-vscode adds an 'Open in VSCode' item to the Workspace sidebar overflow menu in the DSH web interface. Every real Workspace row gains this option; clicking it tells the host to spawn your configured editor CLI on that directory, detached so the editor outlives the DSH server. The client uses the official sidebar.workspaces.row-menu slot where available and a compatibility adapter on rc.6. Menu label follows the UI locale: 'Open in VSCode' in English, '在 VSCode 中打开' in Chinese.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/omdsh-dev/dsh-open-in-vscode/archive/refs/tags/v0.1.6.tar.gzVersioned tarball avoids running a git prepare script. Restart the web server after install (kill -TERM <pid>, never kill -9). Verify: dsh plugin --profile web list dsh-open-in-vscode --depth 0
Compatibility
DSH 0.1.0-rc.6+. Requires VS Code shell command on PATH (macOS: install via VS Code Command Palette) or set plugin config to any editor CLI. Windows auto-discovers standard VS Code installations. All platforms.

FAQ
- Does it require VS Code specifically?
- No. The default command is code <path>, but you can set the plugin config to any editor CLI — Zed, Cursor, Windsurf, vim, etc.
- How does the plugin pass the workspace path?
- The client calls the host over a strict Typert Remote openInVscode/open RPC with the workspace directory. The host spawns the configured editor CLI detached from the server process.
- What if the row does not appear after install?
- Ensure you restarted the web server after install (kill -TERM, never kill -9). On rc.6 a compatibility adapter handles the older sidebar API. Verify with: dsh plugin --profile web list dsh-open-in-vscode --depth 0
