The plug-in of deepseek-harness can use kiro's model (claude series) and account

dsh-llm-kiro is an AWS Kiro (CodeWhisperer) adapter for the DeepSeek Harness LLM seam: it registers the kiro provider route so a signed-in Kiro account serves Claude and open-weight models to the harness without a separate API key. The adapter reads the tokens the Kiro IDE or kiro-cli writes and never keeps a second copy of the credential. Optional settings cover proxyUrl (egress for every Kiro request, needed for Claude models; invalid values fail plugin loading), region (defaults to the signed-in token's region, selects q.<region>.amazonaws.com), profileArn (billing profile; discovered from Kiro's profile.json unless overridden), thinking on/off, reasoningEffort off/low/medium/high, defaultContextWindow (200000), an advisory models catalog for model selectors, stream idle timeout, token-expiry buffer and retry policy (executed by dsh-llm-retry). The llm-kiro settings namespace reloads without a restart and is what the web Models page writes.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:caopu16/dsh-llm-kiro

GitHub install per README (EN primary with zh edition); npm dsh-llm-kiro 404 verified 2026-09-02. Install: dsh plugin --profile web add github:caopu16/dsh-llm-kiro — the whole install, and upgrading is the same command again. Built lib/ is committed precisely so a git-sourced install runs no build script (pnpm 10+ blocks dependency build scripts until allowlisted, which would make every upgrade a manual edit). The package declares its own patch layer, so installing mounts the adapter — no cordis.yml editing required. Requirements: a working dsh install, a Kiro (CodeWhisperer) sign-in on the same machine (the Kiro IDE or kiro-cli writes the tokens this adapter reads; it never stores a second copy of the credential), and for Claude models a permitted network egress (no proxy ships by default — configure llm-kiro.proxyUrl in $DSH_HOME/settings.yaml).

Compatibility

DSH web profile; AWS Kiro (CodeWhisperer) sign-in required; optional proxyUrl egress for Claude models; config via llm-kiro settings namespace (reloads live).

Recent updates

kiro provider route (Claude + open-weight via signed-in Kiro); reads existing Kiro tokens (no second credential copy); optional proxy egress; live settings namespace; committed lib/.

FAQ

Do I need an API key?
No — a signed-in Kiro account serves Claude and open-weight models; the adapter reads the tokens the Kiro IDE or kiro-cli already wrote and never stores a second copy of the credential.
Why do Claude models need a proxy?
Kiro authorizes Claude models by request egress and the permitted egress differs per deployment, so no proxy ships as a default — set llm-kiro.proxyUrl in settings.yaml; without a permitted egress a Claude call fails with INVALID_MODEL.
Does git install need build approval?
No — built lib/ is committed so a git-sourced install runs no build script.
