Automated unit-test generation inside DeepSeek Harness: a /testgen slash command (rendered in the Web UI) and a generate_tests model tool that scaffold tests, run the project's test runner, and fix failures until they pass — bounded, observable, and honest about what it changed. Two generators: behavioral tests through your composed LLM when available, deterministic structural smoke tests (zero LLM, works offline) otherwise. Failure parsing for vitest / jest / mocha / node:test output feeds a fix loop bounded by maxIterations, rewriting only the test files it generated. Hot-reloaded testgen: config in settings.yaml; refuses to overwrite user tests; typed end to end with 78 unit tests including a real end-to-end run.
