aqsk-BLG/dsh-memory

Layered file memory for DeepSeek Harness — workspace-scoped USER/MEMORY notes, background consolidation, hybrid session recall. npm: dsh-file-memory

An installable DSH profile bundle for WorkBuddy-style layered memory: global persona and memory files, live explicitly bound workspace memory, skip-aware reminders and background consolidation, hybrid session recall, post-compaction flush, and a bundled usage skill. Memory files are plain markdown with MEMORY.md index + YAML frontmatter — Claude Code format 1:1 compatible (can read/import existing ~/.claude memories). User-level memories live in ~/.dsh/memory/ with workspace-scoped subdirectories; injection happens at prompt assembly time with the same accounting as Claude Code (first 200 lines / 25KB of MEMORY.md + latest 200 memory files).

FAQ

Can it read my existing Claude Code memories?
Yes — the file format is 1:1 compatible with Claude Code (markdown + MEMORY.md + YAML frontmatter), so existing memories under ~/.claude can be read or imported directly.
Which npm name should I use?
Since v1.2.1 the package is published as dsh-file-memory. The npm name dsh-memory is a different, unrelated package — do not confuse them.
What is stored where?
User-level memories live in ~/.dsh/memory/ (MEMORY.md index + memory files), with per-workspace subdirectories that map from the workspace path the same way Claude Code does.
