ysyyhhh/dsh-pet

Native desktop pet for DSH that follows agent activity, supports Codex pet packages, and imports approved pets directly from Petdex without its CLI.

An optional desktop companion for DeepSeek Harness that acts as an ambient agent-status indicator: it relaxes when DSH is idle, thinks while the model reasons, works while tools run, waits when input is needed, and celebrates or frowns when a turn finishes. It is plugin-first and configured entirely in the UI — preview, select, show/hide, resize, idle-hide and drag-reorder pets from DSH Settings, so normal use requires no commands or YAML edits. Real multi-pet overlays give each pet its own window, position, size and visibility, so pets can be shown and overlapped together, and there are two import paths (a Petdex slug or an upload).

Install

dsh plugin --profile <name> add github:ysyyhhh/dsh-pet

README install forms (substitute your own profile name — web is the common one): the github: form, a local path form (dsh plugin --profile <name> add /path/to/dsh-pet), a tarball form (dsh plugin --profile <name> add /path/to/ysyyhhh-dsh-pet-0.3.0.tgz), or dsh plugin --profile <name> add . from inside the plugin directory. On setups that use pnpm, prefix the wrapper accordingly — run pnpm dsh plugin ... / pnpm dsh .... Because the package has a build script, dsh plugin add builds the plugin during install.

Compatibility

A normal DeepSeek Harness plugin — no separately launched daemon, browser or desktop app. Compatible with Codex desktop-pet packages (pet.json plus an 8×9 or 8×11 sprite sheet) and can import pets directly from Petdex without installing the Petdex CLI.
