DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin: export conversations to an Obsidian vault, plus r

An Obsidian vault integration for DSH (no Obsidian-app dependency): obsidian_export exports a conversation to the vault as Markdown with per-session dedupe/create/skip/update/overwrite semantics, tracking content hashes in <vault>/.dsh-obsidian/manifest.json; obsidian_read (body + frontmatter, first H1, wikilink targets, tags); obsidian_search (filename paths or full-text content, narrowed by tags); obsidian_list (recursive note/folder listing); obsidian_tags (aggregate tag counts); obsidian_backlinks (find notes linking a target for graph traversal). Reads sessions from the persistence seam — current session, sessionId, or an imported session.jsonl/.jsonl.zstd; renders a transcript + _dashboard.md overview and refreshes vault _index.md.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add /absolute/path/to/dsh-obsidian-export

From any directory (relative specs anchor to the invoking directory): dsh plugin --profile web add /absolute/path/to/dsh-obsidian-export or dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-obsidian-export (file:/link: also works). dsh plugin installs the package into the profile's node_modules, detects the dsh.bundle.patch declaration, and appends it to dsh.profile.bundles. Bundle layers mount at process boot, so restart the profile (dsh --profile web or dsh web). Verify composition with dsh --profile web --dump-config. No Obsidian app needed — a vault is just a folder of Markdown files.

Compatibility

dsh web profile (bundle patch). Needs @deepseek-ai/* peer packages resolvable (profile node_modules hoisting or symlink).

FAQ

Do I need the Obsidian app?
No — a vault is just a folder of Markdown files; the plugin reads and writes it directly.
What tools are registered?
obsidian_export, obsidian_read, obsidian_search, obsidian_list, obsidian_tags, and obsidian_backlinks.
How does dedupe work?
Each session's content hash is tracked in <vault>/.dsh-obsidian/manifest.json — it knows whether the target exists and whether content changed.
