WenhongPan/dsh-projects
Codex-inspired project and session management for DeepSeek Harness.
dsh-projects adds a project layer over DeepSeek Harness's native Workspace and Session data so scattered workspaces and sessions become a clear, searchable project workflow. It lets you select and create projects (keeping display names independent from folders and preferring the OS directory chooser locally), organise the sidebar (group by project or one list, with Recent, pinning, favorites, drag ordering, and Off/Compact/Expanded session-status summaries), rename/open-in-file-manager/archive chats, and inspect archived chats without copying or migrating existing sessions. v0.3 adds multi-folder projects (group existing Workspaces under one project without moving files, choose an explicit primary folder), attention summaries, project/title/chat-body search with highlighted snippets, and smarter folder picking. Optional chat-body search requires the DSH session index in cordis.patch.yml; regular chats get an isolated directory under ~/Documents/DSH-Default/YYYY-MM-DD/.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/WenhongPan/dsh-projects/releases/download/v0.3.0-alpha.2/dsh-projects-0.3.0-alpha.2.tgzThe current version is 0.3.0-alpha.2; the desktop and web profiles are separate and must be installed independently. The Web UI form adds the release tarball to the web profile (the DSH Desktop form uses --profile desktop); fully quit and restart the profile afterwards. A source-install form is also documented (git clone, npm install, npm run verify, dsh plugin --profile desktop add link:/absolute/path/to/dsh-projects). NOTE: the npm name dsh-projects is taken by a DIFFERENT repository (the registry entry at version 0.4.0 back-links to github.com/Alexis-fish/dsh-projects on 2026-09-30), so install from this repo's release tarball, not the bare npm name.
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 line and 0.1.1-rc.2 (the latter passed an isolated Web UI boot and core-surface check; DSH Desktop 2.0.3's official Windows picker passed a manual UI check). Desktop and Web are separate profiles and must be installed independently. The README's compatibility matrix marks DSH Desktop 2.0.1/2.0.3 Windows x64 as verified, DSH 0.1.1-rc.2 local Web UI Windows as checked, macOS Apple Silicon and macOS/Linux local Web UI as CI-passing but needing manual coverage, and Remote Web UI as using the Host-side in-app browser. This is an alpha.

Recent updates
The README documents the v0.3 additions, the at-a-glance capability table, the two install forms plus a source install, the native folder-picking fallback order (DSH Desktop 2.0.3+ official picker, then the plugin Host bridge, then DSH's stock picker; remote Web UI uses the in-app browser), the default-chat directory pattern, the compatibility matrix, the optional session-query-sqlite index config, the data/uninstall behaviour (no second project database in basic mode; browser-local preferences in localStorage), and the dev flow (npm install, npm run verify, npm pack --dry-run).
FAQ
- How do I install dsh-projects?
- Per the README, add the release tarball to the profile: dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/WenhongPan/dsh-projects/releases/download/v0.3.0-alpha.2/dsh-projects-0.3.0-alpha.2.tgz, then fully quit and restart the profile. Desktop and Web are separate profiles. Do not use the bare npm name dsh-projects -- the registry entry belongs to a different repository.
- Does it move or delete my existing sessions?
- No -- the README states it adds a project layer over DSH's native Workspace and Session data without copying or migrating existing sessions, and uninstalling does not delete folders or session logs.
- Can I search inside chat bodies?
- Project and chat-title search work by default; the README says chat-body search requires the DSH session index (a session-query-sqlite entry in the target profile's cordis.patch.yml).
