Turns your Zotero library into an evidence store for DSH agents: zotero_search (title/creator/year across library/collection/savedSearch/publications scopes, everything mode also searches indexed full text), zotero_browse (library structure, collection tree, saved searches, tag facets, item types), zotero_get (metadata + notes/annotations/attachments), zotero_children (notes, attachments, PDF annotations), zotero_retrieve (BM25-ranked evidence passages with page numbers, multi-attachment), zotero_changes (incremental awareness via local transaction versions), zotero_attachment (verified on-disk path or linked URL), and zotero_export (citations, bibliographies, BibTeX/BibLaTeX/RIS/CSL JSON). Read-only against the library; the only writes are plugin settings in $DSH_HOME/settings.yaml.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-zoterodsh plugin --profile web add dsh-zotero (npm dsh-zotero 0.5.2, verified on npm 2026-08-30), from GitHub: dsh plugin --profile web add github:Vncntvx/dsh-zotero, or from a local tarball (npm pack + dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-zotero-*.tgz). Requires Zotero >= 7 with the local API enabled (Settings → Advanced → 'Allow other applications on this computer to communicate with Zotero'), Node.js >= 22.19, and a dsh 0.1.2-alpha.1-series host. Start a new session after installing so the agent picks up the tools.
