TYEclipse/dsh-semver

A semantic-versioning toolbox for DeepSeek Harness: parse, compare, range-check, increment, diff, sort, find a range's lowest version, check whether two ranges overlap, pull a version out of messy text and say whether a version is above or below a whole range. Zero runtime dependencies, pure logic and fully deterministic — built because agents misremember prerelease ordering, caret/tilde bounds and prerelease bump rules.

dsh-semver is a semantic-versioning toolbox for DeepSeek Harness: parse, compare, range-check, increment, diff, sort, find a range's lowest version, check whether two ranges overlap, pull a version out of messy text, and say whether a version is above or below a whole range. It exists because agents are bad at version arithmetic — questions like 'is 2.1.0-rc.1 newer than 2.1.0-beta.11?', 'does 1.2.4-beta.1 satisfy ^1.2.3?' and 'what does 1.2.4-beta.0 + prerelease become?' are exactly where prerelease ordering, tuple-lock, caret/tilde upper bounds and prerelease bump rules get misremembered. The tools are zero-dependency, pure and deterministic, and the matcher is verified against npm's semver oracle rather than hand-picked expectations.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:TYEclipse/dsh-semver

Copied verbatim from the README's install block (GitHub form).

Compatibility

A pure-logic DeepSeek Harness plugin with zero runtime dependencies. Its test suite cross-checks the plugin's matcher and the semver_* tools against npm's semver@7 oracle anchors (range-algebra-oracle.mjs), which is how the ~1.2.3 lower-bound bug in v0.3.0 was found — the v0.2.x expectation had been chosen by hand and sat outside the wrong bound.
