xAI Grok SuperGrok / X Premium OAuth for DeepSeek Harness

Uses a SuperGrok or X Premium subscription in DeepSeek Harness through xAI's device-code sign-in — no XAI_API_KEY required and no dsh source patch. Adds: SuperGrok / X Premium OAuth from the dsh Settings panel or a standalone CLI with automatic token refresh; optional one-shot import of ~/.grok/auth.json (the Grok file is never written); after login or import, GET https://api.x.ai/v1/models narrows the picker to the signed-in account (installed catalog is the fallback); streaming, tool calls, reasoning, and dsh compaction through the normal LLM service. The bundle selects xai-oauth / grok-4.5 for new agents; a model already saved in dsh settings still takes precedence.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:MirDie/dsh-xai

dsh plugin --profile web add github:MirDie/dsh-xai, then dsh web. No XAI_API_KEY and no dsh source patch required. If dsh is not on PATH (e.g. started via npx), use npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add github:MirDie/dsh-xai. Do NOT run npm dsh / pnpm dsh from the home directory. Then open Settings → xAI Grok → Sign in with SuperGrok — the plugin starts xAI's device-code flow. Headless/SSH hosts can use dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-xai login instead. A dsh-xai npm package exists (0.0.1) but the README documents the github: install — used that.

Compatibility

DSH Web GUI; independent dsh bundle (no source patch). Registers xai-oauth provider so the catalog xai API-key route coexists. Credentials stored at $DSH_HOME/.xai-oauth-auth.json (~/.dsh by default), atomic writes, cross-process refresh lock.

Recent updates

FAQ

Do I need an XAI_API_KEY?
No — the plugin signs in with your SuperGrok / X Premium subscription via xAI's device-code flow.
Can I import my Grok CLI login?
Yes — dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-xai import copies ~/.grok/auth.json once; the Grok file is never written to.
Does it require patching dsh core?
No — it is an independent bundle that registers the xai-oauth provider alongside the existing API-key route.
