Read-only, scriptable session playback for the DeepSeek Harness WebUI: a single native session-header control enters replay, where the conversation becomes fully read-only (native composer and session-changing actions blocked) with pause, forward/reverse play, event stepping, speed selection, idle-gap compression and direct event/turn/time seeking — plus a per-session ctx.sessionPlayback controller for time-only scripting.
Bites the DSH turns the native conversation into a replay view without opening a separate panel: a single native session-header control enters replay, after which the conversation is fully read-only while UI and scripts may move time without mutating the source session. Playback supports pause, forward and reverse play, event stepping, speed selection, adjustable idle-gap compression and direct event/turn/time seeking, with an optional simulated typing preview of the next direct user message. A per-session observable controller (ctx.sessionPlayback) exposes time-only scripting (enter, seekTime, play, pause, exit) that deliberately offers no operation to mutate the source session, and historical projection runs through DSH's native ChatView so the source session and live head continue independently.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add @ch4acko3/bites-the-dshCopied verbatim from the README's Install block, which follows it with dsh harmony status --profile web (all four Bites the DSH patches should report bound) and a WebUI reload.
Compatibility
A DeepSeek Harness WebUI plugin powered by Harmony. Development baseline is DSH 0.1.5-rc.2, with 0.1.6-alpha.2, 0.1.7-rc.2 and 0.2.0-rc.2 also checked; the migration requires the new Conversation/Chat services. During replay the native composer, model, stop, branch and assistant-write actions are disabled while viewing controls stay interactive.
