DSH session manager: delete with trash/restore/purge, restore archived sessions, recent-activity stats, continue/pause, open log folder, unread markers, fork into a new chat, workspace grouping and sorting, context compaction threshold.
dsh-session-manager is a session manager for the DeepSeek Harness web UI, surfaced from a dedicated Settings section and the conversation header. It lists every session with its working directory, groups archived sessions in a collapsible area with one-click restore, and moves deleted sessions into a trash that keeps the most recent 10 (oldest purged automatically) with Restore and Delete-permanently actions. A stats dialog shows recent activity (turns, user/assistant messages, tool calls, activity window); sessions can be continued, paused, marked unread/read in place, or forked into a child session via the official sessions.fork. Workspace management groups sessions by workspace sorted by last use (newest/oldest toggle), supports drag reordering, rename and delete. General settings add a context-compaction threshold: the fraction of the 1M-token model window at which a conversation auto-compacts (17%–90%), keeping the most recent 16% verbatim, applied globally.

FAQ
- What can the agent or user do from the manager?
- Delete to a trash (restore or purge), restore archived sessions, continue/pause, mark unread/read in place, fork into a new chat, reveal the log folder, and group/reorder sessions by workspace.
- How long does the trash keep deleted sessions?
- The trash keeps the most recent 10 deleted sessions; the oldest is purged automatically when a new one arrives. Delete-permanently is available per item.
- Is the compaction threshold per session?
- No — the setting is global: it sets at what fraction of the 1M-token window a conversation auto-compacts, keeping the most recent 16% verbatim.
