lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot

Adds GitHub Copilot sign-in to DeepSeek Harness, so you can use every Copilot model your plan includes (GPT-5 family, Claude, Gemini and more) inside the harness. The harness already ships a github-copilot provider that can serve those models but cannot sign you in; this plugin fills exactly that gap by running the GitHub device flow and publishing the credential the provider authenticates from — requests, model discovery, images and streaming stay with the harness route. It offers device-flow sign-in (/copilot-login or the Settings page), ambient adoption of an existing GITHUB_COPILOT_OAUTH_TOKEN, a dedicated Settings → GitHub Copilot panel for sign-in/status/sign-out, and slash commands for surfaces without the settings UI.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add @lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot

README install (npm recommended): add the package to the web profile. If pnpm 10+ asks you to approve the build, add the exact key it reports to the profile's pnpm-workspace.yaml (allowBuilds:\n dsh-llm-github-copilot: true) and repeat the command. Then register the plugin in the profile's cordis.patch.yml with the documented insert row (id: llm-github-copilot, name: '@lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot') and restart DSH with dsh web. GitHub form: dsh plugin --profile web add github:lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot. Updating: re-running plugin add may not pick up a newer release because the profile lockfile pins the exact version — use npm install --prefix ~/.dsh/profiles/web @lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot@latest (or the pnpm equivalent) and restart. Sign in with /copilot-login; /copilot-status and /copilot-logout are also available.

Compatibility

DeepSeek Harness 0.1.5-rc.1 or newer with its bundled @deepseek-ai/dsh-llm-pi-ai route (mounted by default); a GitHub account with a Copilot subscription; Node.js ≥ 24. Upgrading from 0.4.x: versions up to 0.4.5 registered their own github-copilot-official provider which no longer exists — switch settings/sessions to the github-copilot provider (model ids are the same) and the stored credential is adopted automatically.

Recent updates

README documents the accepted token types (gho_ OAuth from gh auth login, github_pat_ fine-grained PAT with Copilot permission, ghu_ GitHub App user token from the VS Code client; classic ghp_ PATs are not accepted by the Copilot API), the single config knob (oauthTokenEnv, a credential reference / env var), and an npm run deploy flow that keeps a timestamped backup under ~/.dsh/plugin-backups/ for rollback.

FAQ

How do I install dsh-llm-github-copilot?
Run dsh plugin --profile web add @lujianjun19/dsh-llm-github-copilot, allow the build if pnpm asks, add the documented cordis.patch.yml insert row and restart dsh web. A github: install form is also documented.
Does this plugin handle my Copilot token refresh?
No — the plugin only signs you in and publishes the long-lived GitHub credential. The harness llm-pi-ai route exchanges it for a short-lived Copilot token, refreshes it and derives your account's API endpoint (individual, business or enterprise).
Which token types are accepted?
gho_ OAuth tokens, github_pat_ fine-grained PATs with the Copilot permission and ghu_ GitHub App user tokens. Classic ghp_ PATs are not accepted by the Copilot API.
