Hash-anchored read, edit, and grep tools for DeepSeek Harness: every line carries a short content hash; edits reference LINE#HASH anchors that are verified against the file's current content before anything is written. Stale anchors fail the whole call — never relocated, never fuzzy-matched, never silently applied to the wrong line. Protocol adopted from pi-hashline-edit (MIT), inspired by oh-my-pi. The @deepseek-ai/* harness packages are dev dependencies on purpose: at runtime the plugin resolves them from the dsh installation, so no duplicate harness core ships with the plugin.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-tool-hashlinenpm package dsh-tool-hashline 0.1.0 (registry-verified 2026-08-28): dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-tool-hashline (or without a global dsh: npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-tool-hashline). Node.js >=20 and pnpm required. Then author the hashline preset by dropping the shipped preset files into the user preset directory — the plugin replaces the stock read/edit/grep tools by preset-plane shadowing.
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness. Node.js >=20. Preset-plane shadowing — a preset mounting this plugin instead of tool-fs gets hashline read/edit/grep.
