greyhackintoch-dev/dsh-month-tokens

Puts one calendar month of token usage for one API key in the sidebar, directly above Settings. It reads only local usage records across this DSH home plus opencode, Pen and WorkBuddy, resets at 00:00 on the 1st, and can sum a single key's usage across machines by a fingerprint of the key (the key itself never leaves any machine). Coverage is stated as a floor, never implied as a total, and the web-search blind spot is measured rather than guessed.

dsh-month-tokens puts one calendar month of token usage for one API key in the DSH sidebar, directly above Settings. It counts this DSH home plus opencode, Pen and WorkBuddy, reads only local data, and resets at 00:00 on the 1st. Configuring trackKeys turns the number from a machine's number into a key's number: the same credential used from this laptop, the desktop shell and a second machine sums into one figure, joined by a fingerprint of the key so the key itself never leaves any of them. Its honesty rule is that coverage is stated, never implied — the test is whether a caller leaves a real usage record on this machine, so the figure is a floor, not a total, and that is stated in the README, DESIGN.md and docs/cross-machine-setup.md. One blind spot is measured rather than guessed: the web-search path issues its own request straight to the provider and records no usage anywhere, so neither this plugin nor DSH's own tokenUsage projection can weigh it — the bundled diagnostic (node tools/tracked-report.mjs) counts those calls so the floor has a concrete edge. Clicking the sidebar row shows which machine contributed what, the platform split, and — only when something is actually being left out — a warning naming it.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:greyhackintoch-dev/dsh-month-tokens

Copied verbatim from the README's Install block. The README also documents installing through the agent by pasting the same command into a DSH session, noting that it writes outside the workspace sandbox so a single approval prompt is expected.

Compatibility

Requires a browser-shell DSH (web profile): the browser half runs in a page with a real origin. The official DSH Desktop app is not supported — dsh plugin refuses its reserved desktop profile outright. Restart dsh web after installing; dsh plugin reconciles the package into dsh.profile.bundles by itself because the bundle declares dsh.bundle.
