dsh-gitmemo is git-backed long-term memory for DeepSeek Harness, a Cordis plugin mirroring GitMemo. The root agent stores completed task outcomes as immutable markdown entries in a local .mem Git repository (a single main branch with structured commit messages) and searches them before starting new work, so day-to-day tasks need no manual memory commands. It exposes mem_search (keywords, pagination via skip + snapshot, up to 20 scored hits with a rarity-based score plus a mild recency bonus), mem_read (by create/replace commit hash, optionally expanding [[hash]] wiki links one hop and following the GitMemo-Replaces chain), mem_write (title + summary + keywords + content, one ADD commit per immutable file), mem_delete (withdraw with a reason) and mem_replace (correct an outdated conclusion in ONE atomic commit rather than delete-then-write). Topic pages with kind: "topic" aggregate a topic's current truth and evolve via mem_replace. Search is git log --grep --fixed-strings over commit-message trailers, so entry bodies are never scanned; every memory action is a commit and replaced/deleted entries stay readable by hash; write/delete/replace run under a cross-process lock with a journal, and migration uses a sibling swap journal so an interrupted directory exchange is recovered. The workflow rules and the five tools are registered into root agents only (delegationDepth === 0), so subagents carry neither.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add @fonlan/dsh-gitmemoCopied verbatim from the README's Installation section (npm registry form). A local-checkout form (dsh plugin --profile web add /path/to/dsh-gitmemo) is also documented for development.
Compatibility
Requires dsh >= 0.1.7-alpha.1 (or 0.2.x) and the git CLI — git is the only runtime dependency. The plugin registers on the host plane, so every new root agent session in that profile sees the tools and the rules; restart the profile (e.g. the dsh web process) after installing.
