Verified current-source search workflow for DeepSeek Harness

dsh-plugin-verified-search replaces an agent's inherited web_search with bounded workflows that make source scope, retained evidence, deterministic JSON selection and unresolved gaps visible. The stable release exposes one model-facing tool, verified_search: it sends the native provider allowlist upstream, post-filters returned structured sources locally by exact hostname or subdomain, rejects or strips credential-bearing and tracking URL components before session-visible results are assembled, promotes a title/URL to verified evidence only when a retained citation excerpt exists, and keeps evidence gaps visible instead of filling them with older or memorized answers. It is the installable companion to deepseek-harness Discussion #332 and also mounts the time context discussed in #344. The README states clearly what it does not do: it verifies workflow and structured-source postconditions — it does not certify publisher truth or guarantee an upstream search index is current.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:f0909172434/dsh-plugin-verified-search#v0.1.1

GitHub install per README (EN primary with zh editions); npm dsh-plugin-verified-search 404 verified 2026-09-02. Stable track: dsh plugin --profile web add github:f0909172434/dsh-plugin-verified-search#v0.1.1, then dsh --profile web --dump-config and dsh web. The release commits prebuilt lib/ output and has no install-time build script, so a pinned Git install does not execute the repository's dev toolchain. Prerequisites: DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 + Cordis 4.0.1, Node.js 22.19.x or 24.x, DEEPSEEK_API_KEY via the credential service or launch environment, and a search-capable preset (the plugin does not grant search to the shipped minimal preset). Ubuntu/Windows covered by CI; macOS not part of the support contract.

Compatibility

DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 + Cordis 4.0.1; Node 22.19.x/24.x; search-capable preset; CI covers Ubuntu + Windows.

FAQ

What does verified_search actually verify?
Workflow and structured-source postconditions: hostname allowlist enforcement, retained citation excerpts, and unresolved gaps — it does not certify publisher truth or index freshness.
Which install should I use?
The stable v0.1.1 tag — the release commits prebuilt lib/ with no install-time build script; the experimental five-tool snapshot is for development/evaluation only and the moving main branch should not be installed unpinned.
Why is macOS listed separately?
CI and the support contract cover Ubuntu and Windows; macOS is not currently part of the support contract.
