emeryxu1-blip/dsh-matrix-skin

Turns the DeepSeek Harness Web UI into a focused black-terminal command deck: flat near-black surfaces, restrained neon signals, a terminal treatment for native Think rows, and a live neural-rain effect fed from bounded tails of the text DSH has already rendered (local-only, no telemetry), with reduced-motion support.

DSH Matrix Skin gives the DeepSeek Harness Web UI a sharp Matrix-inspired identity without getting in the way of real work: flat near-black surfaces, restrained neon signals, and a terminal treatment for DSH's native Think rows, across Chat, Trajectory, the sidebar, tools and composer. Its neural rain is not a canned loop — it starts from a bounded local snapshot and then reuses the newest user text, assistant replies, streaming output and provider-exposed reasoning that DSH has already rendered, without rescanning the whole session on every update (a brand-new empty DSH starts from the official DeepSeek Harness README). Processing is local-only with no telemetry or session-content upload, reduced-motion is supported, and the README is explicit that the skin cannot recover hidden, redacted or unavailable chain-of-thought.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:emeryxu1-blip/dsh-matrix-skin

Copied verbatim from the README's 'Install and enable' block (the -w flag is documented as needed because dsh profiles are pnpm workspace roots); the same block follows it with dsh web. A local-checkout form dsh plugin --profile web add -w "$PWD" is also documented. The repository ships its built client artifacts, so installation needs no post-install build.

Compatibility

Targets DeepSeek Harness 0.1.5-rc.1, with the legacy 0.1.0-rc.6 / 0.1.1-rc.2 client contracts also supported, on the web profile. Installation enables the skin automatically; the README says to open or hard-refresh the Web UI after it starts and that version 0.1.2 uses DSH's existing conversation package rather than installing an obsolete client runtime. Matrix Skin changes presentation only and can display only the reasoning the provider sends to DSH.
