Edit in DeepSeek Harness Web Settings Panel ~
dsh-global-rules is a zero-build DSH plugin that adds a 'Global Rules' tab to the DeepSeek Harness web Settings panel, letting you view and edit ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md (DSH's global instructions file) directly from the GUI — no terminal or text editor needed. Features: in-Settings 'Global Rules' tab that loads the current ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md content on open; Markdown-format editing with save button; real-time effect for new sessions (first step reads the new content immediately); live effect for current sessions (on the next file-system tool call, DSH injects 'Updated instructions from: ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md' and the model follows the new rules); auto-creates ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md if it does not exist; 256 KiB write limit with same-origin enforcement. Built as a dual-face plugin: the Host side registers two HTTP routes (GET and POST); the Client side is a hand-written ModuleLoader bundle with no build step or allowBuilds required.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-global-rulesnpm package dsh-global-rules 0.1.0 (registry-verified 2026-08-23). Install from npm: dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-global-rules. GitHub alternative: dsh plugin --profile web add github:badai147/dsh-global-rules. After install, restart dsh web, then open Settings → Global Rules. Zero-build: client side is hand-written ModuleLoader.load bundle; no build step or allowBuilds required. The plugin registers two HTTP routes: GET /global-rules (reads the file) and POST /global-rules (writes; same-origin check + 256 KiB limit).
Compatibility
DeepSeek Harness web profile. Edits ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md (DSH global rules file). New sessions: the new content takes effect immediately on first step (file re-read at session start). Current sessions: on the next file-system tool call, DSH detects the file change and injects 'Updated instructions from: ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md', after which the model follows the new rules. Auto-creates the file if it does not exist. Zero-build dual-face plugin (no build step). POST endpoint enforces 256 KiB limit and same-origin check.

FAQ
- Does editing global rules affect the current open conversation?
- Yes, but with a short delay: on the next file-system tool call in the current session, DSH detects the file change and injects 'Updated instructions from: ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md', after which the model follows the new rules. New sessions read the new content immediately on first step.
- What file does this plugin edit?
- It edits ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md — DSH's global rules file. This is the same file DSH uses for global agent instructions, equivalent to Claude Code's CLAUDE.md or OpenClaw's AGENTS.md.
- Is a build step required?
- No — dsh-global-rules is a zero-build dual-face plugin. The client bundle is hand-written; no build tooling or allowBuilds entry is required for any install method.
