dsh-update-checker shows the current DeepSeek Harness version in the session top bar and auto-checks npm for the latest release: on page load it checks once, then shows one of three badge states — 'Already up to date', 'Update to vX.Y.Z' with a red dot, or a red 'Check failed'. Clicking the badge re-checks immediately and opens a comparison panel with current version / latest version / update status / upgrade instructions; on failure a diagnostics block shows the concrete probe record for each step of current- and latest-version detection. The host half registers a /api/dsh-update-checker/check route; the client half renders the badge and panel. Registration is additive — it replaces no built-in UI.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:YZz-S/dsh-update-checkerREADME bilingual with a dedicated English section (2026-09-02, repo YZz-S/dsh-update-checker; package.json at repo root declares dsh.bundle + dsh.client, so the repo is an installable package — the README's install lines use a <your-username> template because it doubles as a monorepo page). Install: dsh plugin --profile web add github:YZz-S/dsh-update-checker; update via re-add of the latest commit or dsh plugin --profile web update dsh-update-checker, then restart dsh.
