Whale-girl is a QQ-pet-style desktop companion that lives in the bottom-right corner of the DSH Web UI. She is draggable, feedable, and playable. As you work, completed tasks, sessions, and time spent together accumulate into seniority levels, titles, and shared memories -- turning your AI workspace into something with a bit of history and personality. She reacts to your actions: drag her and she stretches; feed or play with her and she chomps or chases a ball; sit idle and she naps; finish a task and she cheers. Her states and animation assets update as the project grows.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add "github:vlln/whale-girl#main"Official bundle plugin (dsh.bundle + dsh.client). Restart DSH web after install; the pet appears at the bottom right of the conversation window. Update with: dsh plugin --profile web update whale-girl. Alternatively via npm: dsh plugin --profile web add whale-girl@0.1.0
Compatibility
DSH web profile only (dsh.bundle type). Runs in the browser-based Web UI. Not available in TUI or headless modes. No external API key required.

- No. Whale-girl is a UI-layer bundle plugin -- it adds a DOM overlay to the Web UI without touching the model, Skills, or tool pipeline. The only resource cost is the browser rendering its animation frames.
- Can I hide or remove whale-girl temporarily?
- Click her menu for interaction options. To fully remove her, run dsh plugin --profile web remove whale-girl and restart DSH web. She and her accumulated seniority data will be gone.
- What are seniority levels and titles?
- Whale-girl tracks how many tasks you complete and how long your sessions run. These accumulate into a seniority score that unlocks level titles. The titles and thresholds evolve as the project does -- check the repo for the current list.
