DSH plugin: Auto-convert images to text for pure-text LLMs (DeepSeek etc.) via any vision model
dsh-vision-opencode gives a text-only main model a configurable vision model as a workaround: paste an image in chat, the vision model (e.g. MiMo-V2.5) converts it to text first, then the main model replies as usual — no model switch needed. A 'Vision model' dropdown next to the input box auto-lists every image-capable model across your providers; models are managed under Settings → Vision. It also exposes a vision_read_image tool and a vision-image-analysis skill for OCR, charts, and screenshots, with a placeholder fallback so the turn never dies.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:poiuyjie/dsh-vision-opencodedsh plugin --profile web add -w github:poiuyjie/dsh-vision-opencode (README.en.md 2026-08-31). Restart dsh, then pick a vision model in the new dropdown. Alternative one-click script: curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/poiuyjie/dsh-vision-opencode/main/scripts/install.sh | bash (Ubuntu) or install.ps1 (Windows). Uninstall: dsh plugin --profile web remove -w dsh-vision-opencode.

- Any image-capable model on your configured providers — the dropdown auto-lists them (e.g. MiMo-V2.5, Gemini/GLM vision, etc.).
- Will my old image conversations break?
- Possibly — back up image conversations before uninstalling; old image chats may no longer reach a text-only main model afterwards.
- How do I configure it?
- Edit ~/.dsh/settings.yaml (or use Settings → Vision): set provider/model, and autoConvert: true (default) for automatic conversion.
