Runs the locally installed Claude Code CLI as a first-class conversation provider inside DeepSeek Harness, speaking Claude Code's official Agent SDK protocol rather than reimplementing the agent. Claude Code keeps its own agent loop, tools, CLAUDE.md, Skills, Hooks, Plugins, MCP servers, settings and authentication; DSH provides the conversation UI and the approval, question, presentation and process-lifetime surfaces.
dsh-claude runs the locally installed Claude Code CLI as a first-class conversation provider inside DeepSeek Harness, using Claude Code's official Agent SDK protocol rather than recreating the agent with a separate API client. Claude Code remains responsible for its agent loop, tools, CLAUDE.md, Skills, Hooks, Plugins, MCP servers, settings and authentication, while DSH provides the conversation UI, the approval and question surfaces, the repository workflow, activity presentation and managed process lifetime. Because it drives the real CLI, everything you have already configured in Claude Code keeps working unchanged, and the credentials never leave the tool — you authenticate through the local Claude Code CLI before using the plugin.
Install
dsh plugin --profile desktop add @norman-else/dsh-claudeCopied verbatim from the README's 'Install from npm' block, which uses the desktop profile and says to replace it with web only for an existing Web profile. The README also documents a source-checkout install (with link: on Windows and POSIX) and a remove command.
Compatibility
Requires DeepSeek Harness Desktop with compatible public plugin APIs; developed against the DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 package line (DSH Desktop 2.0.15). A host still on 0.1.5 must pin @norman-else/dsh-claude@0.1.57, and a host on the 0.1.1-rc.2 line must pin 0.1.36 (later releases import symbols that do not exist there). A local, already-authenticated Claude Code installation is required, plus Node.js 20+ for a source checkout. The plugin never asks for or stores Claude credentials.
