A DeepSeek Harness document parsing tool powered by LiteParse

dsh-document-parser is a DeepSeek Harness Cordis bundle that registers the parse_document tool backed by LiteParse: an agent can parse a document in the current workspace into Markdown, supporting the formats LiteParse handles — PDF, Office/OpenDocument files and images. The first version runs on the DSH Host side; it does not add a browser UI or a generic chat-attachment protocol. Development niceties: quality checks (prettier, oxlint, typecheck, build) run automatically through Lefhook on commit/push; the generated lib/ directory is git-ignored and recreated by postinstall/build but included in the npm package through the files field.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add file:/absolute/path/to/dsh-document-parser

Local file: install per README (EN primary); npm dsh-document-parser 404 verified 2026-09-03 — the README describes the npm package contents (lib/ built by postinstall/build and shipped via the files field) but publication is not yet verifiable, so the documented install is from a local checkout: dsh plugin --profile web add file:/absolute/path/to/dsh-document-parser (headless profile: dsh plugin --profile headless add file:/absolute/path/to/dsh-document-parser), then dsh --profile web --dump-config and start. The package declares a dsh.bundle entry so DSH automatically adds its cordis.patch.yml layer after installation. Requires Node.js 18+ and pnpm, compatible with @deepseek-ai/dsh-* 0.1.0-rc.6.

Compatibility

Node.js 18+; @deepseek-ai/dsh-* 0.1.0-rc.6; DSH host side (web or headless profile); formats handled by LiteParse (PDF, Office/OpenDocument, images).
