Letter2025/dsh-task-worktree
Task-scoped Git worktree workflow for DeepSeek Harness: each task gets an isolated worktree on its own branch, recorded so it survives sessions and restarts.
dsh-task-worktree gives DeepSeek Harness the task-scoped worktree workflow of Qoder, Codex and Claude Code: each task gets its own isolated git worktree checkout on its own branch, recorded in a per-repo manifest so it survives sessions and restarts while the main workspace stays untouched. You pick 'Worktree mode' in the dock dropdown before the conversation starts, optionally name the branch (auto-prefixed worktree/), and on the first message the host injects an instructions block so the model calls worktree_create — no workspace is registered and no conversation switch happens; instead a branch badge marks the session header. When work is done the changes can be brought back (Move to local) or committed directly on the worktree branch, always under explicit human control, and there is a toggle to carry uncommitted main changes in.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-task-worktreeCopied verbatim from the README (npm form; the package is published on npm and shows version badges for release and downloads). Worktrees live under <repo>/.dsh-worktrees/ and are recorded in a per-repo manifest so they survive sessions and restarts.
Compatibility
Installs as a DSH plugin into the web profile. The README documents the workflow as a 'Worktree mode' option picked in the dock dropdown before a conversation starts.
