Mayfly is an interactive terminal UI for DeepSeek Harness — an out-of-tree Cordis bundle over dsh-base. It renders Markdown tables, closed Mermaid fences and renderer-neutral line, point, bar, sparkline and heatmap nodes with width-safe fallbacks; keeps live status (spinner, current step, turn elapsed time, estimated token count and output rate) in a single activity row above the editor; and puts /btw side conversations and the /agents subagent tree in the transcript pane (F7 returns to the previous conversation, F8 closes the displayed one). Its plugin model registers through documented dsh services (ctx.commands, ctx.sessionProjections, ctx.tools) plus Mayfly-specific UI services (mayflyPanes, mayflyStatus, mayflyOverlays, mayflyEditorExtensions); every registration belongs to the caller's Cordis Fiber, so unloading a plugin removes its contributions.
Install
dsh plugin --profile mayfly add @ephemeral-ai/mayflyCopied verbatim from the README's Install block (prerequisites Node ^22.19 || >=24 and pnpm 11; the block shows npm i -g @deepseek-ai/dsh first, then the plugin add, then dsh --profile mayfly). The README also documents a standalone launcher (npm -g install @ephemeral-ai/mayfly-cli, then mayfly) and says to set DEEPSEEK_API_KEY before first run.
Compatibility
Node ^22.19 || >=24 and pnpm 11. Mayfly uses the same plugin model as dsh web: plugins are ordinary Cordis siblings that consume native dsh services directly.
