btspoony/mstar-harness
An omni-plugin for harness engineering workflows with multi-agents, programmatic gates and skills.
Morning Star is a TypeScript Harness Workflow Engine for structured multi-agent code delivery. The engine (@mstar-harness/engine) enforces deterministic gates — path, status, lease, dispatch, sdd, iteration, and lint — in code rather than prompt suggestions. Judgment (roles, gates, workflow rules) stays in mstar-* skills as single source of truth. Three entry shapes: without iteration (single plan/hotfix), with iteration (multi-plan Phase 1-5), and codebase audit (discover what to do). The same engine and skills run across DSH, omp, OpenCode, Cursor, Kimi Code, ZCode, and Codex via host adapters.
Install
npx @mstar-harness/cli init --target dshRuns two dsh plugin --profile web add installs: @mstar-harness/dsh + dsh-llm-fallbacks (--no-fallbacks skips the latter). Alternative single-plugin install: dsh plugin --profile web add @mstar-harness/dsh. Verify: npx @mstar-harness/cli doctor --target dsh
Compatibility
DSH (recommended host), Node.js 22.19+. Also: omp, OpenCode, Cursor, Kimi Code, ZCode, Codex CLI. MIT license.

FAQ
- What are deterministic gates and why do they matter?
- Gates (path, status, lease, dispatch, lint) run as TypeScript in @mstar-harness/engine — they pass or fail with machine-readable results, not prompt suggestions the LLM can talk past. This prevents skipping required workflow steps.
- Can Morning Star work with Claude Code or Codex, not just DSH?
- Yes. Host adapters cover dsh, omp, OpenCode, Cursor, Kimi Code, ZCode, and Codex. Install for any target: npx @mstar-harness/cli init --target <host>. Same skills and engine across all hosts.
- How is it different from native DSH multi-agent support?
- DSH native multi-agent is one-off parallel fan-out. Morning Star adds structured iteration (Phase 1-5), persistent skill-driven roles, and engine-enforced gates that catch agent drift before it ships.
