9087/dsh-shell-progress

dsh-shell-progress shows where a multi-step shell command is right now as a segmented progress bar inside the tool-call card: the live position is visible in the collapsed card and expanding it reveals each step's code and output, while the model-visible tool text stays byte-identical to the normal shell result.

dsh-shell-progress answers 'is this command still working, or is it stuck?' by showing where a multi-step shell command is right now as a segmented progress bar inside the tool-call card. The bar lives in the collapsed card - a glance at the transcript shows the live position, matching the feature's purpose - and expanding the card reveals each step's code and that step's output. The shell_progress tool registers model-visible text that is byte-identical to what the pwsh tool returns for the same command (same stdout, [stderr] section and [exit code: N] markers), so the presentation layer adds visibility without altering what the model sees.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-shell-progress

Copied verbatim from the README's Install block; the README also documents mounting it by hand in the profile's cordis.patch.yml.

Compatibility

A DeepSeek Harness Web plugin; the host loads it once at start-up, so dsh web is restarted after installation. The tool's model-visible text is byte-identical to the normal shell tool's result, so it changes nothing for the model.
